As a native of California this is how I have often viewed the state. Three Californias The North with it's timber and fishing industry. The Central with it's farming, Silicon Valley & shipping ports. The south with the entertainment industry and thirsty cities that need to learn other ways to get water besides stealing it from the areas that have it naturally. The southern most state has the largest voting block but cannot support the current population which is why we will never see California divided into multiple states.
