Make a new state
By David in High Desert

I would divide California into 8 new states creating 4 red-leaning states and 4 blue-leaning states. I think in a short time you would have 4 conservative states with thriving economies and 4 liberal states with deficit spending, heavy taxes, too much regulation and performing poorly economically.
